- Credentials: RD, (Registered by Commission of Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), LDN (Licensed by the NC Board of Dietetics and Nutrition), and FADA/FAND (Fellow of Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics) demonstrate that she has met/exceeded the standards of her profession.

Over her career she has taken leadership roles in the profession, serving on the Raleigh Human Relations Commission and the Wake County Board of Health & Board of Human Services, as President of Association of NC Local Boards of Health and the Southern Health Association, and in many roles at a national level with the American Dietetic Association. Her experience as an educator, consultant, speaker, and community leader has given her a broad understanding of issues in the community and provides context for her therapeutic work.
